NDRRMC Mobile App "BATINGAW" is a DRRM Information, Education, and Communications platform mobile application software developed in partnership with the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) and Smart Communications, Inc. to provide the culture of preparedness and pro-activeness among users.

The name “BATINGAW” is a Pilipino word for “siren or alarm”. The mobile app software was formally launched on 21 July 2014 and is downloadable free of charge intended for the public using their smart phones and tablets.

All concerned are enjoined and requested to:

b.)     Monitor updates and concerns posted;

c.)     Respond to requests as necessary; and

d.)     Promote the use of Mobile App "BATINGAW" in the community.

The objectives are as follows:

1. Provide handy electronic resources to the public that can be utilize in times of emergencies.

2. Increase public awareness on the fundamentals of Disaster Risk Reduction and areas for information-sharing that can be incorporated in actions needed to future emergencies. 

3. Use key learning points for preparedness activities such as knowledge for individuals and their respective family members before, during and after disasters.
